Multi Italy Srl is the Italian branch of Multi Corporation a Pan-European retail asset management, property management, and redevelopment company.
The services and the need for support
The relationship between Multi Italy Srl and Furaco IT stems from the research by the Dutch headquarter of an Italian technological partner that could provide all the assistance, advice and IT support to Italian offices, shopping centers and outlets distributed throughout national territory.
The whole service has been developed through contractual relationships of IT technical support, managed and respected according to pre-established SLAs and hardware supply with subsequent implementation and installation of the systems at the centers.
Of particular importance, and demonstrating the extensive professional commitment on the client, was the Consultant service organized in weekly Fix day.
To testify the case is the Joery Sassen, IT System Engineer of Multi Corporation, who has always played an active role in the operational technical reports with Furaco and the IT headquarters of the Headquarter.

Furaco started a project with UniCredit in support of the environment of experimentation and innovation of ICT Group, in order to provide it with an appliance storage, maximizing the value for money and responding to requests for space, speed and Integrity data.
In line with these requirements Furaco proposes and then provides a Synology drive RS18016xs +: 9 unit SAS drives configured in a RAID6 array and 2 Solid State Drive 512 GB (used in caching mode) fulfill the space requirements in an enclosure of contained dimensions, the array read / write speed is optimized through the use of SSD drives configured in cached mode.
The installation at the UniCredit data center was realized through double cable 10Gb / s (LAC trunk from 20Gb/s)using expansion modules PCI-X 10Gb Ethernet provided directly by Synology.
The customer found interesting to extend the appliance's storage capabilities with some features offered by other packages of Synology (included in each configuration) such as Git server and versioning SVN server.
The ability to back up data on Synology unite to any rsync server also allowed to take advantage of an existing appliance to perform the daily backup of data.
Constant attention to innovation and team training.
Interest, new and concrete knowledge are the feedback obtained as a result of the three-day on-site training course on networking & TCPIP signed Furaco and offered to Comelit.
Comelit Group Spa, an award-winning company and Italian pride, is a world-class industrial company specializing in the design and production of video door entry systems, video surveillance, intrusion detection, home automation, access control and fire protection.
The course took place both through lessons in the classroom and with laboratory exercises that allowed each participant to acquire the skills necessary to understand and manage the functionality of the data networks, with attention to any problems that may be encountered during the setup of apparatuses closely related to Comelit products.
The success of the course was mainly linked to Furaco's preliminary study of the client for a complete personalization of the service. A total attention to the need of the client that has manifested itself and made clear thanks to the passion for the craft and the desire to demonstrate and transmit skills obtained in the field.
At the same time, Comelit Group Spa has always placed man at the center of his vision. Consulting and IT design
Furaco and “Officina Informatica” partner are called to completely revamp the IT infrastructure of Derbyruote Srl in January 2014 within two months of the project was to ensure continuity of production systems and administration.
The infrastructure was created ensuring high reliability and scalability.
Furaco IT designed the network, the address of main office and remote office, has provided and configured the equipment necessary to build the infrastructure, implementing a solution redundant in its entirety: dual access to the Internet (different operators TLC) , UTM solution in HA (high availability), switch stacks, cluster Microsoft Windows Server with Hyper-V hypervisor, storage iSCSI redundant (in connections and storage space), system replication / backup delocalized over the cabinet main data .
A UPS system provides enterprise-class power cabinet main data even in case of prolonged blackout.
Work-sharing and data access mobility.
The directory server is synchronized with the internal cloud solution for Microsoft (Office 365), selection into the enterprise, including mail service and cooperation based on the Exchange Server and the license of Office applications for the PC business, and for portable devices.
Interconnection between sites
The remote location of Germany was interconnected through IPsec VPN: the headquarters are placed third domain controller, replication of two domain controllers in Italy, a UTM, a storage system and a WiFi infrastructure. The complete management of remote site takes place from the main office and all the services of the head office (AS400 access management, remote desktop services, file-sharing services) are made available at the remote location.
Storage of the remote location ensures quick access to files shared owners of the office itself. These files are replicated asynchronously on the storage of the main office (Italy).
The production area of Derbyruote is particularly extensive: implements a WiFi network at the service of production and warehouse logistics, we have been interconnected two production plants short distance by radio hiperlan.
A second WiFi network provides wireless access to devices and business guests in the office area and conference room.
Furaco: the IT division
Furaco IT has been supporting the supplier's internal management of Derbyruote during their migration on the new infrastructure building: guaranteed secure access (via VPN) server management by the provider (maintenance and upgrades).
The monitoring of the entire infrastructure accompanying the setup providing timely and transparent to the user when reporting anomalies or failures.
In the ambit of Lombardia region’s public outlawing, with the purpose of modernizing access to the ski lifts (unique ski pass), Furaco performed the implementation of a major IT infrastructure at the Presolana Monte Pora ski area.
The project has led to expansion of services that offered to customers and integrated management of IP protocol for the whole station.
The network connects by wireless (hiperlan) stations access to all the lifts, shelters, ticket and extends from the area of Monte Pora and Donico location.
4 webcams installed at height of a weather station and transmit data in real time,2 WiFi HotSpot areas have been created in the shelters.
The IT infrastructure has also allowed managers to keep up to date in real time about the steps of the lifts and to use video surveillance and remote management of the snow.
Our work has led to significant and tangible benefits for both; our customers and for its users:
Integration with social networks allows the user to monitor the weather situation in real time and share their ski performance by the insertion of the online pass code; HotSpot areas have collected considerable success among those who do not practice skiing directly.
The manager has seen significantly increase the number of accesses to the site and the pages on social networks by virtue of the new available services.
Professional Solutions is active in the field of personnel management and consultancy work.
The customer is always very attentive to new technologies and aims to offer web services increasingly evolved to its clients, in order to improve the internal organization of the work and provide services on time, and available with a high degree of interaction with the company management.
The infrastructure was therefore designed to ensure high reliability of services and accessibility to resources with any technology.
Two redundant firewalls manage two fiber connections to the Internet network and serve two network segments interior: one dedicated to the employees and one dedicated to the services provided to the outside.
Appropriate access rules allow external users to use specific services with special attention to the security of internal resources. All external connections travel on secure connection (VPN IPSec or SSL), web services are accessible only through HTTPS.
Sensitive data are protected by daily backup system of Furaco (BTOP), based on Bacula software.
The monitoring service for 24H allows us to actively intervene in case of problems.
